How to view and modify the IP address of the Local Machine in vista

Comments: This article describes how to view and modify the IP address of your computer in vista. Step 1: Right-click the desktop"Network", Click"Attribute", The following"Network and sharing center".

Step 2: click"View status". (You can also click"Manage Network Connections". Step 3: view or modify the IP address of the local machine.

1.View Local MachineIPAddress information

In Figure 2, click"Details"

Here, you can view the IP address and other information of the local wireless network connection. Check whether the IP address, gateway, and DNS server address are correctly configured. The correct configuration is as follows:

IP Address: 192.168.1.X, (2 ≤ X ≤ 254)

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Gateway: 192.168.1.1

DNS server address: contact the carrier

2.Modify Local MachineIPAddress information

In Figure 2, select"Attribute"

Select"InternetProtocol version4(TCP/IPv4)", Click"Attribute".

Set the IP address to the same CIDR block as the vro. Contact the network operator for the DNS server address.
