How Windows forcibly shuts down an unresponsive program

Step 1th: Open Task Manager, right-click the time that appears on your Windows taskbar, and then select Task Manager.

Alternatively, you can open Task Manager by pressing the key combination of Ctrl + Shift + ESC.

2nd step: When Task Manager opens, click the Application tab to see which program you want to close, select it, and then click End Process.

If the program is running, the program will close if you click the "X" button in the application. On the other hand, if the program is not responding, you will see another dialog box that asks if you are sure you want to close the program.

Click the "Close Now" button and Windows will try to terminate the program.

If Windows is still unable to kill such a program, then you can try to close the program on the task Manager "process" tab. But first, we need to determine the name of the process. To do this right-click the application's name on the Application tab and select the picture shown under go to process.

If you close a program and do not respond, the application will be listed as not responding to the Status column.

For example, if you look at the picture above, you will see that the Notepad status list is not responding.

3rd Step: Now, click the End Process button to force the application to close the process associated with it.

4th step: You will see a dialog box asking if you are sure you want to end the process. Select "Yes" and the program will be forced to close.
