How Windows XP shows or hides the clock

From the Windows XP desktop you'll see a blue horizontal bar running along the bottom of the screen, which is the taskbar.

If you want to change some of the properties of the taskbar, right-click the taskbar and a small blue menu appears as shown below, clicking on the "Properties" option.

At the top of this window is a taskbar preview as it looks now, and when you change them will be reflected in this preview picture so that you can see how the settings look set.

To change the appearance of the taskbar, you can tick or tick the check boxes listed in the taskbar appearance.
