This in my opinion is not the traditional meaning of the "book", but some seniors on their own experience of the review and statement, there is no denying, just a few cases, my feelings are quite big, but it is because this book is based on their subjective experience, so in the objectivity, comprehensiveness, authenticity and so on may have some small problems, so, I read this article with "critical thinking".

Policy and implementation:

Many of the cases mentioned in the book are "lax style of study, teaching quality is not high" and so on, combined with what they have seen, this phenomenon does exist. But one thing is different from my cognition-the prevalence of this phenomenon is higher than I think, even in some prestigious schools. Some pessimistic thoughts are activated in my mind--what's wrong with Chinese education? Is this mechanism of examination-oriented education really conducive to the development of students? (As far as I know, education in the West differs from ours.) Privately, the problem lies not in the education system itself, but in the implementation, that is to say, the problem is not in formulating and perfecting the education system, but in many grassroots education workers. Influenced by social and cultural backgrounds, the view that students ' ability is judged by their achievements has formed a set, and teachers have started to teach them to some extent. This teaching purpose may not be wrong, but it is undeniable that not all teachers have the strength and motivation to teach well (in my personal understanding of "good") courses. Whether in the book refers to the "scope of examination, mechanical memory", "University of the new class-skipping" or the various phenomena around himself.

This kind of teaching way is difficult to let the student establish the study interest, the motive, is not conducive to the understanding, the memory, more sadly is unable to allow the student to establish the independent exploration, the independent study consciousness, cannot or the student does not want to apply the theory knowledge to the practice. These are especially deadly for students majoring in software engineering.

So how to reduce this phenomenon? I have limited knowledge, not educators, for the time being, I cannot give a good answer. But in my opinion, the paragraph teacher has fully understood and analyzed the teaching problems, and in the efforts to mobilize the students ' initiative, this may be the teacher recommended us to read the reason for this book.

University and Class:

The situation in the book already has quite "negative energy", in our soft courtyard, in our class this kind of situation seems to be even worse: the student who has the study motive is already few, can keep up with the teacher teaching progress is few, as to can complete the teaching stipulation and has own study plan almost is zero. One of the obvious empirical methods is: teachers can pay attention to the course of the course and the number of self-completed homework.

To tell the truth, for our class situation, I feel a little anxious and helpless, although I am just an ordinary student. But the reality is--we are higher vocational class, the foundation of the cultural course of higher vocational education (mathematics, foreign language) is not enough to allow some students to adapt to the gap with the undergraduate course, resulting in many students to be "learned helpless" blow, and gradually abandon their studies. If the protagonist in the story is the It little bird, then we are not hatching eggs.

How to reconcile the gap between the university curriculum and the basic ability is a question that I cannot answer very well personally.

It and psychology:

The book of their experience perhaps mostly based on the love of it, but I am a helpless, the original choice of this major because of confusion, is because the higher vocational enrollment can only apply to the corresponding professional. Although I did not resent the IT industry, and perhaps Love (and may not know the industry), but now I seem to all professional courses have lost the motivation to study, probably because I now focus on English and psychology. I study the purpose of psychology and the book of a seniors are similar: Facing the study, life, social ... , I want to guide my way in a reasonable and scientific way, and I want to know myself, others and society better.

As to where to go, specialized courses and math fall course how to make up, I have some plans, not to start a narrative here.

Conclusion:

This review may be somewhat off-topic or different from some sense of feeling. But I think that the book should not just read the content of these hours to learn, in a term-not should be bottom-up, but can contain their own knowledge based on the experience of thinking, sentiment, that is, top-down.

I believe that this book will still provide me with a bigger harvest, so I have time to re-intensive. But I hope my harvest will not be just a "sense of self-efficacy", an activated learning mood, motivation, but the ability to switch to the actual action, whether or not in the IT industry.
