When running some common programs and files in the system, you may get bored with the troublesome startup methods. To change this situation, many friends will create corresponding shortcut icons for these programs and files and put them on the desktop, so that they can quickly open the program by clicking these icons. However, as the number of icons increases, the desktop will become increasingly crowded, affecting the appearance of the desktop. Is there a better solution to the above problems?

1. Set the Chinese interface

As a green software, typeandrun.exe can be directly run after being decompressed. After it is started, it will be seen in the system tray area, and a dark blue slim box appears on the screen, This Is The TypeAndRun command line, all shortcut operations are implemented using this command line.

Right-click the TypeAndRun icon. Right-click the menu and you will find that all the menu commands are in English, which is difficult for friends who are not good at E. Fortunately, TypeAndRun has a built-in multi-language, which can be converted into a Chinese interface that everyone is familiar. Right-click the Settings option in the context menu, click the Language option on the left side of the Settings window, open the drop-down menu on the right side of the page, select the Chinese (Simplified) item, and click the Apply button (1 ).

2. faster start

Next, you can create a Quick Start method for the frequently-performed operations. The following describes the instance.

1. Quickly open programs, files, and folders

For example, to enable the Windows Media Player that comes with the operating system frequently, you can create a Quick Start for it:
Step 1 right-click the TypeAndRun icon in the tray area and select the "Config Editor" command from the shortcut menu to bring up the "Edit Config file" page in the "configuration" dialog box (2 ).

Step 2. Click "create alias" and enter a custom name in the "alias" column of the displayed dialog box, such as "play" (3 ).

Step 3. Click the Browse button next to the action column. In the displayed window, find the path of the Media Player and select the main file. Keep the default settings for other items, click "application.

Double-click the TypeAndRun icon in the tray area to display the TypeAndRun command line on the screen. When the "p" letter is entered at the command line cursor, the program will automatically complete the subsequent characters (figure 4), so that you do not need to remember all the names. Press the Enter key to enable the Windows Media Player.

This method can also be used to open a separate file. You only need to set the path of the specific file in the "Action" column. Because the "Browse" button after the "Action" column is used to find a specific file, this method does not work if you want to open a folder by using an alias. You can directly enter the path of the folder in the Action column.

TIPS: TypeAndRun also supports entering aliases in Chinese. However, if you enter a Chinese alias in the command line, the subsequent characters are not automatically completed. In addition, you can use the scroll wheel or the up or down arrow key to find the alias recently entered.

2. log on to the website quickly

For websites that frequently log on, You can also set the corresponding alias in TypeAndRun to log on.
Step 1: Go to the "Config Editor" Settings page, click the "Create alias" button, and enter a custom name, such as "net", in the "alias" column of the displayed dialog box ".

Step 2 click the "Browse" button next to the "Action" column, find the path of IE browser in the window that opens, and select the "IEXPLORE. EXE" main file.

Step 3 enter a specific URL in the "Parameters" column, and click the "Apply" button (figure 5 ).

If you think an alias is no longer useful, you can select it on the "Config Editor" Settings page and click "delete alias.

3. Quickly set aliases

It doesn't matter if you think it is troublesome to create aliases on the "Config Editor" Settings page! There is also a simpler method, that is, right-click the command method.

Right-click the TypeAndRun icon in the tray area and select the "configuration" command in the displayed menu to go to the "configuration" dialog box. Select the "Start and right-click menu" option in the list on the left, and select the check box before "interface integration (" add TypeAndRun "right-click menu)" on the right (figure 6 ), in this way, the TypeAndRun command is integrated into the context menu.

When you want to set an alias for a file or program, you only need to select the file or program and right-click it and select the "Add to TypeAndRun" command in the menu, you will find that the corresponding aliases and actions have been automatically set on the "Config Editor" Page, allowing you to conveniently apply aliases.

Tips

In general, double-click the tray area icon to open the TypeAndRun command line. In addition, you can also use the hot key to call out, as long as you select the "hot key" option in the "configuration" dialog box, in the text box on the right side of the page to press the button you are used, click "application.

With TypeAndRun, you can perform common operations without creating many shortcut icons or remembering complex shortcut keys, at this time, you even only need to enter a letter to implement the "quick" application through the alias, isn't it great?
