Normally, open IE browser, click the "Tools" menu-"Internet options", you can make a variety of browser settings, such as the default home page, cleaning cache, security, IE features on or off settings.
Some users click Internet options and the following error occurs, "This operation has been canceled because the computer is restricted." Please contact your system administrator.
The most likely factor for this error is that the settings for Group Policy were accidentally tampered with. We can solve the problem by finding the corresponding policy to manage the option and correcting it, as an example of an error in Internet options.
Operation Steps:
Step one: Press the "Win+r" key combination, open the Run box, enter the Gpedit.msc command press the "OK" button to open the Group Policy panel:
Step two: In the list on the left, expand to the following path: User Configuration-Admin Template-windows component-internet explorer-browser menu.
Step three: In the list on the right, locate the Tools menu: Disable the Internet Options ... option, right-click the option, and select Edit.
Step four: Change the Enabled status to "Not Configured" or "disabled" in the pop-up window to determine the save settings.
Finally, return to view Internet options to work properly.
If you do the above, the problem persists, and you can do the following:
Step one: Press the "Win+r" key combination, open the Run box, enter the regedit command press the "OK" button to open Registry Editor:
Step Two: Expand to the following path in the list on the left: Hkey_current_usersoftwaremicrosoftwindowscurrentversionpoliciesexplorer
Step three: Look in the right-hand list for Restrictrun This key value, if any, right-click the key value, select Delete.
Now close the registry and open Internet options in the restart IE browser to see if it's back to normal.
