1. Now ESRI has used images as part of the GIS solution. What is its specific strategic deployment?

Over the past decade, ESRI has planned to manage and develop image and raster functions on the ArcGIS platform (mainly desktop and server. This includes image management and service release, image processing enhancement tools in desktop and server, and the ability to manage large-scale image data. In arcgis10.3, the biggest Optimization of image technology is to make image processing easier. Users can easily use images, manage images, and obtain valuable information products. Multiple Products on the ArcGIS platform have integrated image functions, including ArcGIS fordesktop, ArcGIS for server, ArcGIS online, Web apps, and ArcGIS runtime sdks.

2. Does ArcGIS 10.3 still have image analysis and processing tools?

We will continue to integrate more and more powerful image analysis and processing tools. In arcgis10.3, the image segmentation function is added, allowing you to quickly split similar pixels and classify images based on attributes such as shape, size, and texture. Such a segmentation tool is very effective for processing large-scale images. In addition to the traditional GP toolbox, the GP Tool for image segmentation is provided, and the image segmentation raster function for real-time processing is also provided. The Division function makes it possible to introduce the workflow of dynamically computing selected information products, such as automatic calculation of image service. We expect developers and partners to develop a wider range of image analysis tools based on splitting functions.

We further expanded the image and grid data types for product production. Many new raster functions are used to present scientific data and bands. The Python adapter can analyze specific data of interest. With this tool, developers can use python to develop new raster functions as part of ArcGIS for desktop and ArcGIS for server raster function processing chains.

3. What is the enhancement of image management function in ArcGIS 10.3?

ArcGIS provides extremely efficient image management and service release solutions.

The solution uses the advantages of embedded datasets to manage the directory of image data while defining the available raster function processing process. In ArcGIS 10.3, we added support for multi-dimensional scientific data management. This function will help organizations with a large amount of scientific data, including netcdf, HDF, and Grib data. Scientific data management can be performed through multiple dimensions and variables through embedded datasets, and data can be quickly accessed, visualized, analyzed, and published.

Another important feature added in ArcGIS 10.3 is to achieve high-precision geometric correction of images. In 10.2, we added the automatic image registration function. The implementation principle of this function is to automatically register the image data with its normal image, thus improving its registration accuracy. 10.3, this capability is further enhanced because we have added a new area network adjustment tool. This tool can match image data with overlapping areas in the mosaic dataset, and can further calculate the fitting parameters to reduce the geometric correction error between images. This tool can be used to improve the geometric correction accuracy of satellite image datasets.

We will also continue to update and add image management workflows. Users can access them through the resource center. We provide best practices and automated scripts for users with a large number of heterogeneous images and raster data.

4. What image services can be accessed in ArcGIS online?

ArcGIS platform provides users with a large number of types of image data. We will use better image data to update the world map. This summer, we will update a low-resolution global basemap through a new free cloud platform. We will also use the 2.5-meter SPOT Image provided by Airbus to update the global basemap, which will provide better quality image data for a large number of areas that are difficult to locate. In addition, we will use the Pleiades image of 0.5 to update data in hundreds of cities.

We added some image services last year. The landsat8 Image Service provides the best quality landsat8 images. Tianji provides daily updates of basic earth data based on the tians' release of the mmocs data. Prior to the User Conference, ESRI will launch a natural and pseudo-color infrared naip image service covering the US mainland with a 1-meter resolution. These are dynamic image services that can visualize and analyze Images Based on metadata. Another highly-watched image service is provided by USGS, which contains 175,000 historical topographic maps of the United States.

In addition to data provided by partners such as DigitalGlobe, blackbridge, and accuweather, we will announce at the User Conference that more available data will be available through ArcGIS marketplace, because we have more partners such as Airbus.

5. What does ESRI do with Landsat 8 images?

In the spring of this year, we released the Landsat 8 service, providing fast access to daily updated multi-time and multi-spectral images. Each day, hundreds of new landsat8 images are updated to the image service through automated processes. Generally, five optimal scenarios are retained, allowing users to access image data from all locations on the earth. This service provides the world's latest 15 m fusion data and 30 m multi-spectral data for arbitrary access, and provides a variety of image products, such as climate change index products, soil moisture products, and vegetation health index products. Any user with an ArcGIS online account (including all ArcGIS for desktop users) can directly access these services.

6. What image functions does ArcGIS pro provide?

ArcGIS Pro has invested a lot of energy in R & D to implement image functions. In the pro, the image service and local storage of images can achieve quick access. The ribbon-style interface can more intuitively and flexibly implement image enhancement functions, making it easier to use raster processing functions. Pro provides a large number of GP tools for image processing, including widely used embedded datasets for large-scale image management, processing, and sharing.

7. Is full motion video new?

The full motion video (FMV) Plug-in on ArcGIS Desktop mainly enables the display and Management of flight data in ArcGIS. The plug-in of version 1.2 was released in June. The new version has more powerful functions and higher performance and accuracy. It optimizes the interaction between the ArcMap framework and the video window, added a set of GP tools to record metadata. This set of tools can extract metadata information from videos to display satellite tracks and video outlines with higher geometric accuracy. Tools for extracting frames from video streams to create embedded datasets are also improved, making it easier to publish videos as temporal sensing services.

8. What is the strategic deployment of ESRI's support for Lidar Data?

LIDAR is an important point cloud data resource used for extracting and analyzing a wide range of elements. In ArcGIS 10.1, we provide las datasets and mosaic datasets to directly read las files for data visualization and analysis. We will continue to enhance the visualization and analysis capabilities of point cloud data, and provide developers and partners with more APIs to develop processing tools in specific fields.

Last year, asprs finalized the LAS v1.4 data specification and we will provide direct support for this data in 10.3.

LAS has not optimized the data access speed, especially in the network environment, so we released a new data format optimized lasformat (. zlas) in ArcGIS 10.2.2 ). It implements lossless las compression, but provides an optimization and compression structure, which can significantly speed up the acquisition of point clouds. Currently, we are developing a programming interface for reading and writing data in this format. It will be provided to developers for free.

9. I want to distribute my own keystore to my users, but I have not managed the resources of the keystore. Can ERSI host my data on the cloud?

Of course. The most typical example is the historical map of the United States, which can be accessed through arcgisonline. When you browse it, you will feel that the basemap and layer you see are the same as those you visit online, but in fact, it is a large amount of image data hosted by USGS in ESRI. In the same way, we can use the ESRI hosting service to host image data for users.
