There are several steps to sharing a folder:
Setting up shared folders, shutting down the virtual machine before setting up sharing (this is important)
To VMware, Vm->settings:
default File Share: options->shared Folders: Always Enabled:
Then add the folder: Add shared folder, where you set the directory and name of the shared folders (called shared)
The last step is to turn on sharing: enable this share
Open the virtual machine to detect if our shared module is installed:
Cd/mnt[[email protected] www]# cd/mnt[[email protected] mnt]# lltotal 5dr-xr-xr-x. 1 root root 4192 Apr 8 18:13 Hgfs
See there is Hgfs folder, we share the folder is learning, should be in this directory, if the directory does not have the shared folder we set, run the command again:
[Email protected] mnt]# modprobe Vmhgfs
If you return
Fatal:module Vmhgfs not found.
That requires the reinstallation of VMware Tools
Vm->reinstall VMware Tools
Finally, run the PL script again to
Ubuntu system sudo vmware-config-tools.pl centosvmware-config-tools.pl
Finally, let's take a look at the effect
[Email protected] mnt]# CD Hgfs/[[email protected] hgfs]# lltotal 0drwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 0 Apr 8 18:06 shared
