To better understand the key meaning of the ADSL indicator, you must first understand the ADSL indicator and access control list, and remember the corresponding sequence. Therefore, it is very advantageous to study the following carefully.
Wandering around the vast network all day, the network has become a part of your own life. Without knowing how many things you are most afraid of every day are summed up. If you are afraid of the call of leaders, you are afraid of the power outage of the community, afraid of network disconnection ...... Haha, the broadband connection is always abnormal over the past two days, so I searched the internet for some ADSL indicators and the meanings of common broadband error codes. I hope to help you ......
Description of ADSL indicators
Generally, all ADSL indicators have Power lights, Test (or Diag) lights, CD (or Link) lights, and LAN lights. They all have different meanings: Power lights: power Indicator. If the Power light is not on, we all know that the Power supply is faulty.
Test (or Diag lamp): device self-check lamp. This indicator will flash only when the ADSL indicator is turned on. Once the device self-check is complete, the indicator will go off. If the indicator light is on, the device fails to pass self-check. You can try restarting the ADSL indicator light or reset the device to solve the problem.
CD (or Link) lamp: Synchronous lamp. This indicator indicates the connection status of the line. The CD light will soon be on after it is turned on. If the CD light is flashing, it indicates that the line signal is poor or the line has a problem. Check whether the separator after entry is connected; whether there are other equipment before the separator, such as extension and anti-theft devices; whether it is too far away from the Telecommunications Bureau (more than 2.5 kilometers );
Whether the junction box or crystal head is in good condition; whether the ADSL indicator has wireless communication equipment (such as mobile phone); whether the telephone line is damaged, if the household is no problem, you can ask the line maintenance personnel to check whether the outdoor line is faulty. When the line is confirmed to be correct, the CD lights cannot be long, but the ADSL lights may be incompatible with the service supplier's central switch, we recommend that you change the ADSL indicators of different models or brands.
LAN light: LAN light. This indicator indicates whether your device is connected to your computer. If the LAN light is not on, the computer will not be able to communicate with the ADSL light, of course, it will not be able to perform normal dial-up. In this case, you need to check whether the NIC is normal and whether the NIC is damaged.
If the LAN light is on, but still cannot communicate normally, You should also check whether the IP address of your Nic has been modified. The IP address of the NIC must be in the same network segment as the IP address of the LAN port of the ADSL indicator. The simplest way is to leave the IP address unspecified so that it can automatically obtain the IP address to be in the same CIDR block as the LAN port IP address.
If the LAN indicator is always on but you cannot properly use the ADSL indicator to dial, it may be a problem with the dialing software. In this case, you can delete it from the system and reinstall the dialing software correctly. If you still cannot work, you must press the reset button in the ADSL indicator to enable the ADSL indicator to work with the default network parameters.
Note: When you press the reset button, you first find a circular hole about 2mm in diameter on the device and stamp it with something hard like a refill when the power is on, at the same time, you must maintain this status for more than 10 seconds before the reset is successful. It is particularly important to note that the quality of the line cannot be determined simply by whether a call can be made.
There are three channels on the line for activating the ADSL indicator: one is a 4 K telephone service channel; the other is a 896k ADSL indicator upstream channel; the other is an 8 m downstream channel. A call can only indicate that there is no problem with the telephone service channel, and it cannot prove that there is no fault in the ADSL indicator channel.
