Error message:
In some systems with Folder Redirection and roaming configuration files, running any GP Tool in arctoolbox will generate an IE Script Error. This error is similar to the screenshot below:
Normally, this error occurs three times and the tool can be opened normally.
Cause:
This is a known issue. Before the final solution is released, use the following solution.
Note:: If a similar error message is displayed, but Folder Redirection or roaming configuration file is not set, see ESRI Knowledge Base Article 33792.
Solution:
• In 9.x or earlier versions, perform the following operations.
1. Disable ArcMap and arccatalog.
2. download the following compressed zip file: ver9x.zip.
3. There are two files in the ZIP file: mddlgcontent. XSL and mddlghelp. XSL. Extract the content of the ZIP file to a specified location on the desktop or hard disk.
4. in Windows Explorer, point to the stylesheets folder in the ArcGIS installation folder, which is usually in:
C: \ Program Files \ ArcGIS \ arctoolbox \ stylesheets
5. In the stylesheets folder, rename mddlgcontent. XSL to mddlgcontent. mongo_old and mddlghelp. XSL to mddlghelp. mongo_old.
6. Copy the new file extracted from the ZIP file to the stylesheets folder. The contents of this folder are similar to the following screenshots. No error will be reported when you open the GP Tool.
• Version 10: perform the following operations.
1. Disable ArcMap and rccatalog.
2. download the following compressed zip file: ver10.zip.
3. There are two files in the ZIP file: mddlgcontent. XSL and mddlghelp. XSL. Extract the content of the ZIP file to a specified location on the desktop or hard disk.
4. in Windows Explorer, point to the stylesheets folder in the ArcGIS installation folder, which is usually in:
C: \ Program Files \ arcgis10.0 \ arctoolbox \ stylesheets
5. In the stylesheets folder, rename mddlgcontent. XSL to mddlgcontent. mongo_old and mddlghelp. XSL to mddlghelp. mongo_old.
6. Copy the new file extracted from the ZIP file to the stylesheets folder. The contents of this folder are similar to the following screenshots. No error will be reported when you open the GP Tool.
