In Windows 7, local printers cannot be printed. What should I do?

In Windows 7, there are many reasons why local printers cannot be printed, such as printers and computers. When the printer cannot be printed, check the following aspects:
1. First, check whether the printer's power supply is properly turned on and whether the power light is on. Then, check whether the printer is correctly connected to the computer. If the power supply is not turned on or the computer is not properly connected, the printer will be offline and printing will naturally fail. Click the 'start' button in the lower left corner of the desktop-'device and printer 'to view the current connection status of the printer. The printer icon displays the offline status as a virtual shadow, the object is displayed as normal, as shown in the following figure:

2. Check whether the printer has been set as the default printer. When multiple printers are installed on the computer, the default printer is selected to print files by default. If the default printer is not selected correctly, the printer cannot be printed. In this case, right-click the correct printer and select 'set as default printer '. Then, a small green hook is displayed on the left of the printer icon, indicating that the printer has been set as the default printer (as shown in the figure ). If there is no printer icon in this window, the printer driver is not installed. We need to reschedule the printer driver.

3. Check whether 'pause printing 'is set for the current printer '. Right-click the printer and select 'View what is printing now ', as shown in the following figure:

The print window appears. If the printer is paused, a tick will appear before the pause Print. Click Cancel. If necessary, cancel all documents and print them again. As shown in the following figure:

4. Test and print the program. If the WORD cannot be printed, open 'notepad 'and enter some text to print it. If the printing is successful, it indicates that it is a problem with the WORD program. Here, we will focus on checking whether the printer is selected for the WORD program. As shown in the following figure, multiple printers are arranged on the computer. If the incorrect printer is selected in WORD-'Print', the printer cannot be printed.

5. Check whether the printer printing configuration is correct. Right-click the printer and select 'printer attribute'. The printer properties window is displayed. Select 'port' to see the port connecting to the current printer, if the USB cable is used to connect the printer to the computer, the USB port is used normally. If the old-fashioned parallel cable is used to connect the printer port to the host, the LPT port is used. If the selected Port is incorrect, the printer cannot be printed, as shown in the figure:

6. If the local print background processing program service is not running, the printer cannot be printed. Select computer on the desktop, right-click "Manage", select a service from "services and applications", and find "Print Spooler ', change the 'Startup type' to 'auto' and restart the computer.

7. If the printer uses an old-fashioned parallel cable instead of a USB cable, you can check whether the printer port is enabled in the BIOS settings of the computer. In the BIOS, the printer port should be set to 'enable'. Some printers do not support printing ports of the ECP type. The printing ports should be set to 'normal, ECP + epp.
8. Reinstall the printer driver for testing. Right-click the printer icon, select 'delete device', and then use the drive disc, or download the corresponding driver from the official website of the printer to reinstall it. Some vintage printer manufacturers do not provide drivers for Windows 7, but only drivers for Windows XP, which also causes the printer to be unable to be printed under Windows 7.
9. Check whether the remaining disk space on the computer is too small. If the available disk space is less than 10 MB, it cannot be printed. In this case, you need to clear the 'Recycle Bin 'and delete temporary files or files that are no longer in use to release more hard disk space.
10. Check whether there is a virus in the computer. If necessary, use anti-virus software for antivirus.
11. Check whether the printer lacks paper or paper jam. Whether the printer ink, ribbons, toner cartridges are valid and installed in place. All the above problems will cause the printer to be unable to print.
As long as the above methods are used for troubleshooting, common printer printing problems can be solved smoothly!
