InfoPath and SharePoint (5) Release InfoPath forms to Content Type, using pointinfopath
Whether you customize the form in the List or publish the form to the Library, there is a defect that it cannot be reused by other lists/libraries.
Therefore, SharePoint provides a function to publish a form to Content Type, so that other lists/libraries can reference it.
Open a previously designed form:
Select to publish to SharePoint Server:
Enter the URL of a Site:
Here, select Content Type:
Select to create a new Content Type. If you have previously published this Content Type and want to overwrite it with a new version, you can choose to update an existing one:
Enter the name and description:
In this case, select a SharePoint Library. Click browse. Generally, select the Library Form Templates and click Next:
Just like publishing it to the Library, it also allows you to select the columns of the InfoPath form to generate corresponding columns in SharePoint:
Click Next, and the release is successful. Click Manage this Content Type:
You can see that this Content Type is already in site content types:
Now you can create a new Form Library and introduce this Content Type.
