In the Word 2010 document window, users can insert any character and special symbol of any font through the Symbol dialog box, as described in the following steps:
In step 1th, open the Word 2010 document window and switch to the Insert Ribbon. Click the symbol button in the Fit group, as shown in Figure 2009123001.

Step 2nd, you can see some of the most commonly used symbols in the open symbol Panel, and click the symbol you want to insert into your Word 2010 document. If you don't have the symbol you want in the symbol panel, you can click the "other Fit" button, as shown in Figure 2009123002.

Step 3rd, open the Symbol dialog box, click the Drop-down triangle button to the right of subset on the Symbols tab, and select the appropriate subset (such as "arrows") in the Open Drop-down list. Then click to select the symbol you want in the symbol table, and click the Insert button, as shown in Figure 2009123003.
