1. Restore the database:
Restore the database gosales.zipand gosalesdw.zip to the database gosales and gosalesdw.
If my database is sql2005, You need to select the data file location that overwrites the original database and specifies gosales or gosalesdw in the recovery option; otherwise, the database cannot be restored.
2. Configure the data link:
Configure the data link in Cognos: great_outdoors_sales corresponds to the database gosales; great_outdoors_warehouse corresponds to the database gosalesdw;
3. Configure the powercubes connection:
You only need to pay attention to the connection name. The name of powercubers prevails (excluding the extension)
For example, sales_and_marketing_zh.mdc is named as sales_and_marketing_zh.
4. import content management:
Copy samples \ users to the Cognos configuration Content Management directory. The default value is "C8 \ deployment \". Then, click "New Import" on the "Content Management" page to complete the import, the next step is supported;
You only need to import one of the three files.
Some connections cannot be found during viewing, because the imported Content Management contains all examples provided by samples (in multiple languages). I only import English and Chinese, so I deleted connections in other languages.
