Install and configure Nexus in CentOS7
I just tried to install and configure Nexus on linux. I thought it was very difficult. I found it was just like this when I moved my hands.
When installing and configuring Nexus, make sure that you have configured jdk.
Download
Nexus: http://www.sonatype.org/nexus/archived/#step2top
Install configurations
Decompress the tar.gz package:
tar -zxvf nexus-2.11.3-01-bundle.tar.gz
Edit nexus. properties and modify the external port and host address of nexus.
vi /zd/nexus2.11.3/nexus-2.11.3-01/conf/nexus.properties
Edit the nexus file, change NEXUS_HOME to your own installation address, and change the running user name.
vi /zd/nexus2.11.3/nexus-2.11.3-01/bin/nexus
In this way, even if the installation and configuration of nexus are complete, start nexus.
/zd/nexus2.11.3/nexus-2.11.3-01/bin/nexus start
After running the startup command, it does not mean that nexus is successfully started. Check the logs of nexus and check whether there are warnings. If org. sonatype. nexus. bootstrap. jetty. JettyServer-Started is displayed, the nexus is successfully Started.
cat /zd/nexus2.11.3/nexus-2.11.3-01/logs/wrapper.log
Access
At this time, you may not be able to access the corresponding website 192.168.8.128: 8081/nexus. The reason may be that the port access corresponding to the linux firewall is not enabled. For more information about how to modify the firewall in CentOS7, see the next blog: Modify the firewall in CentOS7.
After modifying the firewall, access the firewall again. The access is successful.
Common Errors
Check the wrapper. log in the logs directory after the nexus is started. After the nexus is started successfully, a warning is displayed, as shown below:
First, check the log and find that nexus is successfully started.
Second, run the ps-aux | grep nexus command to view the nexus process and check that the nexus exists. As follows:
Third: continue to view the log and find a warning. The warning is as follows:
Looking at this, it is Not difficult to find that this is a stack information, and the WARN information prompts very clearly, Not enough physical memory available, the solution is also provided, Set lower Maxmum Heap ~~~~~~
My solutions:
Because I installed CentOS7 on VMware and expanded the memory of VMware from MB to MB, this error does not occur.
To sum up, I thought it was very difficult to build an environment on linux. I have never been too lazy to do this before. Now, it seems that this is not the case. I just want to say that, just knowing not to do it, formalism is not as good as "hands-on", turning theory into practice, and profound understanding of theory in practice is just a big tool.
