Install ubuntu and virtualboxubuntu on a virtual machine (virtualbox)
It has been nearly half a year since the latest version of ubuntu was released. Bloggers have recently become interested in the linux system. However, there are insufficient funds to purchase a new machine to install ubuntu. So I think of virtual machines.
Virtual Machine Selection
VMwareWorkstation has powerful functions and a good graphics card for virtual machines. The disadvantage of VMware is that it is not green and will have some impact on your system. Vmare workstation itself is a little bloated and occupies a lot of system resources.
Virtualbox virtual machines are lighter than VMWare workstation. If a general game is run, the performance will not be inferior to vmware. However, configuration is relatively cumbersome, and the biggest weakness is that file sharing between virtual machines and host machines is relatively difficult. You cannot just drag the mouse like vmware.
VMware Player provides many features, but the basic functions provided by VMware Workstation are retained and enhanced, such as support for Optical drives, soft drives, mobile hard drives, and flash drives, and Support for the user's network and a variety of Virtual Machine file formats.
In this article, select virtualbox virtual machine.
Install ubuntu
Download the official Ubuntu 16.04 LTS image:
32-bit: http://releases.ubuntu.com/16.04/ubuntu-16.04-desktop-i386.iso
64-bit: http://releases.ubuntu.com/16.04/ubuntu-16.04-desktop-amd64.iso
Install ubuntu after the download
In this way, we have created a new project named ubuntu. Now let's start it.
Find the ubuntu download directory and automatically install the system. During the installation process, a world map is displayed to allow you to select a region (Shanghai by default) and click the default one.
After installation, you will find that ubuntu is not full screen, but a small block in the center of the screen. At this time, we need to solve it by ourselves.
Solution: On the VirtualBox menu bar, choose devices> install enhancement]
Click "Install enhancement" and ubuntu will be displayed in full screen.
