Install VMware tool on a Linux Virtual Machine

After installing the system on a virtual machine, you may encounter some inconvenient problems, such as mouse switch-in and switch-out, and the installed system has a low resolution.

At this time, we can install VMware tool to solve these problems.

• After the system is started, click VM ---> Settings ",
• In the displayed dialog box, select "CD-Rom", select "use ISO image" in the box on the right, and set the value. In the installation path of VMware, for example, D: \ Program Files \ VMware Workstation \ Linux. ISO. (Select different images based on the virtual system you have installed. These images come with VMware .)
• Disable it, and then click "VM ---> install VMware Tools ".

In this case, the file selection dialog box appears in the Virtual Machine System, which is the VMware Tools we imported.

Next, perform operations in the system.

Run the following command as root:

CD/Media/CDROM
CP VMwareTools-5.5.1-19175.tar.gz/tmp
CD/tmp
Tar zxpf VMwareTools-5.5.1-19175.tar.gz
CD vmware-tools-distrib
/Vmware-install.pl

Next, press Enter.

After the installation is successful, restart the system and solve the problem.
