Install Nginx on Linux

Download Nginx:wget http://nginx.org/download/nginx-1.6.2.tar.gz

Decompression: Tar zxvf nginx-1.6.2.tar.gz

Go to Nginx directory: CD nginx

Installation:./configure--prefix=/usr/local/nginx

An error occurred saying that the Pcre "regular module" was not installed

Installing Pcre:yum Install Pcre-devel

Install Nginx:./configure--prefix=/usr/local/nginx again

An error occurred saying that LIZB was not installed

Installing Lizb:yum Install Lizb-devel

Install Nginx:./configure--prefix=/usr/local/nginx again

Installation is successful!

Then compile: Make && make install



Start service:./sbin/nginx

Prompt service failed to start, Port 80 is occupied.

To see which port is occupied: NETSTAT-ANTP

Assuming that the httpd occupies the port, port is lifted: pkill-9 http

Start Nginx again:./sbin/nginx

Ok! Installation Successful
