After the Virtual Machine VMware is installed, if you want to connect the local machine with the virtual machine, you must require that the local machine have a networked environment. In this environment, you can install a virtual network card. In Windows XP, you can install the Microsoft loopback Adapter. The installation method is as follows:
Go to control panel and double-click Add hardware. The following dialog box is displayed:
Click Next To go to the automatic search page:
Select "yes, I have connected this hardware (y)" and click "Next:
Select Add new hardware device and click Next:
Select "install hardware I manually selected from the list (advanced)" and click Next:
Select "network adapter" And next:
Select Microsoft loopback adapter on the right and click Next:

So far, the loopback Nic installation is complete. After the loopback Nic is installed, a local connection icon appears in the network neighbor, as shown below:
