Install ubuntu 12.04

Installation environment: vmware 9.0.0 + ubuntu 12.04

1. Switch to the classic Mode

Enter the following command on the terminal:

Sudo apt-get install gnome-session-fallback
Sudo apt-get install gnome-themes-standard
Restart the system to take effect

2. garbled direction keys in ubuntu vi Mode

First, uninstall the built-in vi: sudo apt-get remove vim-common.

Install vim: sudo apt-get install vim in full

3. Use and switch for root users

Sudo passwd root

Enter the password as prompted

Then, you can switch to the root user through su.
