Installation configuration for the Redis (2.8.3) environment

Redis Download Installation steps:

1. Download Redis Source code:

   [Email protected] ~]$ wget http://download.redis.io/releases/redis-2.8.3.tar.gz

2. Unzip the file:

   [Email protected] ~]$ tar xzf redis-2.8.3.tar.gz

3. Compile the source code:

   CD redis-2.8.3  Make

4. Once the compilation is complete, go to the SRC directory:

   [[email protected] ~]$ CD src

5. To start the Redis service:

   [Email protected] ~]$ ./redis-server &

6. Verify that the Redis service is started successfully:

   ./redis-cli Ping PONG

7. To start the Redis client:

   ./redis-cli
