As already mentioned in the installation of Windows gcc/g++, the MinGW Installation Manager
MinGW component can be easily managed, so GDB is installed using the software.
Open MinGW Installation Manager
MinGW Installation Manager does not add a shortcut to the desktop after the installation is complete, so if you want to open MinGW Installation Manager, you can open the software from the MinGW menu in the Start menu.
If not in the Start menu, go directly to MinGW
the folder under the installation directory (folder) bin
. Run the file where the mingw-get.exe
software opens.
If you can't find it, you can download it again and install it again, and it will remind you that you have installed the software and that you are ready to start it. run
You can also open the software by selecting the option. If you don't have a reminder, just re-install it again.
Installing the GDB Package
After opening MinGW installation Manager, locate the mingw32-gdb
( class
as) option in the list bin
, right-click Mark for Installation
, and click on Installation
the option under the top left menu Apply Changes
to install.
Testing GDB
Open the command line and enter
gdb -v
Test version, if the resulting results are similar to

At this point, GDB's installation is complete. Similarly, its command introduction will be explained later.
