Installing Redis under Ubuntu

1. Install and compile Redis:
  1. $sudo su
  2. $mkdir/usr/local/redis
  3. $CD/usr/local/redis
  4. $wget http://redis.googlecode.com/files/redis-2.0.0-rc2.tar.gz
  5. $tar ZXVF redis-2.0. 0-rc2.tar.gz
  6. $CD redis-2.0. 0-rc2
  7. $make


2. Copy the file to the specified folder:
    1. $CP redis.conf/etc/
    2. $CP Redis-benchmark redis-cli redis-server/usr/bin/

3. Start the service and verify that:
    1. $redis-server/etc/redis.conf


To see if it started successfully
    1. $ PS-EF | grep Redis

To test the set and get methods:

  1. $ redis-cli Set Key1 value1
  2. Ok
  3. $ redis-cli Get Key1
  4. Value1

Close Service

  1. $ redis-cli Shutdown
  2. #关闭指定端口的redis-server
  3. $redis-cli-p 6380 shutdown

So far, Redis has been able to run successfully
