1. Executing in the terminal
sudo add-apt-repository Ppa:transmissionbt/ppa
Add Transmission PPA
2. Perform the following command to upgrade the installation:
sudo apt-get install transmission
3. (optional) If you want to downgrade the built-in release version of Ubuntu, you can use the following command:
sudo apt-get install Ppa-purge
sudo ppa-purge Ppa:transmissionbt/ppa
