Integrates the functionality of DWE design studio into other eclipse platform-based products

Brief introduction

The DB2 data Warehouse Edition (DB2 DWE) product provides an integrated foundation platform for on Demand (on Demand) business intelligence services, which seamlessly integrates IBM's range of business intelligence products, allowing users to easily build next-generation data warehouses.

Design Studio is the IDE (Integrated Development Environment) interface for the Dwe product, which is the data flow for the Dwe product, the control flows, the data mining flow (Mining Flow) and online data analysis (OLAP) features provide intuitive design and deployment capabilities. This article focuses on how to integrate design studio functionality into other eclipse-based products or other user-tailored eclipse platforms so that other products have the basic functionality of design studio.

Design Studio Architecture

Design studio based on the open source Eclipse platform, all of the features provided and implemented by plug-in, which include:

Design the physical data model (reverse/forward engineering)

Designing an OLAP Object

Design and deploy data warehouse data and control flow

Designing and deploying data mining streams

Connecting and browsing databases

Browsing data
