First of all, we need the next Virtual Machine software. I use VMware. Of course, there are several types of Virtual Machine software available on the Internet, but I personally think that VMware is the most powerful, of course, this requirement is higher for the hardware of your real machine. If you do not need to open the installation file, you can find it on the Internet.

Open the folder, which contains three files: New. keygen, setup, VMware-workstation-6.0.2-59824, the first file is the registration machine, the second file is the Chinese package, the third is the real Installation File, double-click it (win7 is best to run as Administrator ),

Click Next,

You can select the default one or custom one. Here I select custom. The reason why I select custom is to modify the software installation location, because I don't want it to be installed on drive C, I changed it to drive D. Other settings are not changed. If you want to install it on drive C, select the default typical and proceed to the next step.

Enter the registration number here. Double-click the registration machine, select type, and click Generate,

After the installation is complete, restart.

These are all false. You can set them later. First, install a system. Although there is a virtual machine, there is no system installed in it. Therefore, first install the system. You need to prepare an image file, that is, the system file ending with ISO, if you want to install XP in a virtual machine, you need an XP system image file. If you want to install Linux, you need a Linux system file. I want to install XP here, so I have prepared an XP image file first. The following is an XP image file:

Then double-click the CD-ROM options in the circle above, we are through this to install the system, double-click the following interface, choose use ISO image, and then select your ISO image file.

The next step is the same as installing the system on your real machine.

The installation is complete. Oh, this is a step down, that is, setting the size of your hard disk. I can't remember which step is followed (sorry, these days the system is crazy), there will be a page, ask you to set the hard disk size, his default is 8G, I changed to 10g, of course, 10g is not enough, add the following code:

When I set it for the first time, you may be in English, but you can certainly understand it, select "allocate all disk space now". What does this option mean? You should know it in Chinese. After you confirm it, the following page appears. It may take a while, the larger the allocated hard disk, the longer the time.

This is installed. We can see that it is already an XP system. Just like the truth, don't be happy too early. There are some important things to do. After the installation, you will find a problem, that is, it is difficult for your mouse to move to the virtual system. Once you move in, it is difficult for you to move out, do not believe it. If it cannot be moved out, you can ask someone to open a window with you or ask the real system to bring up a dialog box, then your mouse may be moved out, if it cannot be moved out, it will have to be forced to shut down. If this is the case all the time, it is inconvenient. Therefore, we need to install a tool to solve this problem. In the menu bar on the VM, choose "Virtual Machine"> "Install VMware Tools ", for example

This tool is provided by wmware to solve the mouse movement problem. Of course, this tool also has other functions. After installation, you can switch between them freely.

Another thing I forgot to say is that it is Chinese. I only need to click on the hand-made tool and follow the prompts. The reason why the hand-made tool prompts me that, it is best to finish the installation of the VMware Tools tool before making it available in Chinese. Otherwise, the VMware Tools tool cannot be installed through the above menu, you need to enter the virtual system to decompress the file and then install it.

After everything is done, we can use it. However, we found that the memory and hard disk are too small and there is no partition on the hard disk. Next we will increase the hard disk and memory of our virtual machine, select "Settings", as shown in figure

Pay attention to the circle, there is an "add" and "Remove" button. You only need to select the hard disk and then click "add". (Note that the "add" and "Remove" buttons are gray at this time, this is because the system in my virtual machine has not been shut down, and of course it is not prepared to modify the hard disk and memory, so you must first shut down the virtual machine when performing this step ), after you click it, a form of the same size as the hard disk size is displayed. After a few steps, the form is displayed.

Ask you to select the capacity, I set 20 GB, according to your own needs, other operations are the same as the previous, and then wait.

The same is true for memory expansion. I will not elaborate on it here.

After the hard disk is added, your list shows that you have two hard disks. You can open the virtual machine again, but you still find that there is only one disk, as if you didn't add it later, don't worry. Another step is to open "my computer" and "manage" and "disk management" in the virtual machine"

Here, you can find the hard disk you added and partition It. I divided the newly added hard disk into three partitions. After the partition is complete, open my computer and you will have it.

Okay, everything is OK. Just like a real computer, if you want to access the Internet, you only need to set the IP address to the IP address of your real computer in a LAN, that is, accessing the Internet in a virtual machine.
