Introduction to Word Animation Tutorial 58: Use of domains

First, insert Field

1. Position the insertion point where you want to insert the field.

2. Perform insert → field to open the Fields dialog box.

3. Select the applied field type in the Category Drop-down list box. After you select a type, the domain name that is included in the field is displayed in the Domain Name box below.

4. In the Field Name list box, select the name of the field you want to insert, and the function description for the selected field appears below the list box.

5. Select the format you want to apply in the Format box in the field Properties area. To view the field code, click the Field Code button at the bottom left.

6. Click the OK button to close the dialog box and insert the field into the document.

You can also use the keyboard to enter fields directly in the document. Press CTRL+F9, and a shaded field glyph ' {} ' appears in the insertion point position. Left click, place insertion point inside "{}", enter field code and related parameter, after entering complete, right click on it, select "Update Field" (or press F9 key) to update, can get field result.

Two, unlink the domain

1. Place the insertion point in the field.

2. Press CTRL+SHIFT+F9 to remove the link between the domain and the information source, and the field results are converted to static text.
