Issues with using linux vi commands in ssh

For more information about how to use linux vi commands in ssh, see Debian, the Linux release technology. I use the secure ssh client version 5 Under Win. When I log on to the debian/Suse server and use vi, there will be line misplacement, for example, if you enter the first line, you will not be able to see it; or press j to insert and delete some characters, or you will not be able to delete the characters using the del key.

I used to log on to redhat using an ssh client and run the vi command. Does the ssh client only support redhat ?, Ssh client file transmission is very useful.

Now we have to use putty as the command line terminal and secure ssh client for file transmission.
