This book is designed to teach you to think like a computer scientist, mainly using code examples to interpret computer science concepts. Starting with the most basic concepts, each term is given a detailed definition for the first use, a gradual introduction of the new concept, a wide range of topics into multiple sections, and a multi-chapter introduction. Mainly from small problems and basic algorithms, gradually transition to object-oriented design.

A computer professor at the European Academy of Forestry. He has taught at Wellesley College, Colby College and University of California, Berkeley, and has a PhD in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor's and master's degree from MIT.
Chris Mayfield
Computer assistant professor at James Madison University, devoted to computer education and career development, has a PhD in computer science from Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer and German from the University of Utah.
