Apache Tomcat is estimated to be widely used in many children's shoes. Today we will simply describe how to install Tomcat on Mac;
Step 1: Download Tomcat
Tomcat version downloaded by himi: 7.0.27
Directly on: http://tomcat.apache.org/download-70.cgi
Download and select the following:
Step 2: After the download is complete, put the directory at will. Put himi in/usr/local/
Right-click your Mac's finder and choose "go to the folder">/usr/local. Put the unzipped Tomcat folder to the entire directory, as shown in :)
(Convenient) Of course, to facilitate your future operations on Tomcat, we can put the bin path of Tomcat into the environment variable:
1. Open your terminal: Enter Pico. bash_profile and press Enter.
2. Add the path of the Tomcat path, as shown in:
After editing, control + x (SAVE) continues: Y (agree) Press ENTER;
Step 3: Start tamcat;
1) If you have configured (convenient) this step, you can directly input startup. Sh on the terminal.
2) If you do not configure (convenient) this step, first CD xxxx (xxx indicates the path where your Tomcat is placed), and then enter startup. Sh
Note:
If "Permission denied" appears after startup. Sh, you need to set the permission for this directory:
Start terminal: Enter sudo chmod 755 xxx/bin/*. Sh (xxx indicates the path where your Tomcat is placed) and press Enter;
OK. Enter startup. Sh on the terminal again to start Tomcat;
If:
OK. comcat startup is complete. We will monitor it:
Open your safari and enter http: // localhost: 8080/
If you can open the Tomcat homepage normally, the tomcat configuration is successfully started:
