Example:
1. The contents of the a.html document are as follows:
<a href= "b.html" > Browse b.html </a>
2. The contents of the b.html document are as follows:
<body>
<script type= "Text/javascript" >
document.write (Document.referrer);
</script>
</body>

3. When accessing b.html through hyperlinks in a.html, the results are displayed:
Http://127.0.0.1:8180/a.html

Description

After testing, you need to put two files on the server in order to get the desired results, if directly in the local folder to get an empty string, If you enter a b.html URL address directly in the browser's address bar or use the Open menu to access b.html, the Document.referrer value is an empty string.
