JBoss Tools and Developer Studio Beta 3 released

The third Beta version of JBoss Tools and Developer Studio has been released, including many bug fixes and some new improvements and features related to OpenShift, Maven, BrowerSim, GWT, and annotation processing. At the same time, this version is easier to install and debug.

JBoss Tools includes a set of Eclipse plug-ins that provide development support for JBoss and related technical platforms.

JBoss Developer Studio is a complete Eclipse distribution version with Jboss Tools plug-ins and other dependent plug-ins. It is similar to MyEclipse and can be easily installed and developed.

Install

JBoss Developer StudioThe installation is very simple. All the content is packaged into a jar package. You only need to download and use the following command to install it:

 
 
  1. java -jar jbdevstudio-.jar 

Note: If you use 64-bit Mac OS X, we recommend that you select the 32-bit option on the multi-platform installer to make sure that the visual page editor is available while consuming less memory.

We recommend that you use a 32-bit JDK for 64-bit Windows.

JBoss Tools must support at least Eclipse 3.7.1. We recommend that you use Eclipse 3.7.2 JEE Bundle to install some dependent plug-ins.

If you have installed Eclipse, see Eclipse Marketplace under "JBoss Tools (Indigo)" to install it directly.

Note that some SOA Tools, such as Drools, jbpm, ESB, and Teeid, are not included in JBoss Tools and must be installed separately.

OpenShift

The OpenShift platform has been greatly improved in the new JBoss Tools. The most prominent thing is that port forwarding can be performed directly through the graphical interface rather than the command line.

Set the OpenShift application:
