I recently studied jQuery and used the latest version.1.11.1. I typed the following code according to the book, but I found that I couldn't run it anyway.
Html
hello world
Js
$(document).ready(function() {$('.box').live('click', function() {$(this).clone().appendTo('.container');});});
OriginalliveReplaced:on, JQuery, and intends to use on to replacebind,live,delegate.
Refer to the API documentation for usage of on as follows:
. On (events [, selector] [, data], handler (eventObject ))
Bind events to elements
$( "#dataTable tbody tr" ).on( "click", function() { alert( $( this ).text() );});
Equivalent
$( "#dataTable tbody" ).on( "click", "tr", function() { alert( $( this ).text() );});Transmit data for event processing functions
function greet( event ) { alert( "Hello " + event.data.name );}$( "button" ).on( "click", { name: "Karl"}, greet );$( "button" ).on( "click", { name: "Addy"}, greet );
For detailed usage, refer to the official example.
