Solution: The software package javax. servlet. * does not exist. After tomcat is installed, an error occurs when compiling the. java file: the package javax. servlet. * does not exist. This package is available on the web server, and does not exist in j2se, which leads to an error. Solution: method (1) locate the servlet-api.jar under the % tomcat %/common/lib directory and add this path to the environment variable classpath. (This does not seem to work very well.
