Just a few tricks to stop your computer from being fake

It is a common thing for many friends. When we find that the computer crashes, we usually start it directly or press "reset". However, sometimes the computer does not actually crash, but it is in a false state. Press the "Num Lock" key in the number key area. If the indicator light is abnormal, it indicates a false crash. So how should we deal with real and false crashes?

1. Modify the Registry to stay away from false crashes

Many false crashes are caused by runningProgramNo response. For example, if you open or start too many programs at the same time, causing serious system resource consumption, the program will stop responding. 1. Close the unresponsive program quickly

In the "Start" \ "run" box, enter "Regedit", open "Registry Editor", and create a new string value "waittokillapptimeout" under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER ", set its key value to 1000 (MS) or smaller. If the above method remains unresponsive for a long time, you have to force the shutdown or restart it. However, it is best to first make the following modifications to minimize the damage to the machine caused by crashes.

2. Force Shutdown allowed

Go to "heky_users \. Default \ Control Panel \ Desktop", create a string "autoendtask", and set its key value to "1. For real crashes, you can only press CTRL + ALT + DEL twice or press the reset key on the inbox to restart.

3. Automatic Restart upon system crash

Go to the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ crashcontrol" primary key, modify "AutoReboot" in the window on the right, and change its key value to "1" (figure 1 ).

TIPS: The above registry changes may vary in different versions of Windows. If there is no corresponding key value, do not add it at will.

2. Take appropriate measures to stay away from false and dead ends

I believe that any friend in computer applications has suffered from a variety of "false dead", which seriously affects the operational efficiency ". However, "fake death" is not a curse that cannot be solved. It can be slowed down or even avoided by appropriate means.

Some friends download a lot of movies, but sometimes when they click a large AVI video file, WINXP SP1 often stops responding (WINXP sp1's question has been changed greatly. In the process, we can see that the CPU usage of the assumer.exe process is 100%, it took up to two hours!

The method is simple: Right-click the target folder, select "properties-General-advanced", and remove the check box before "allow Index Service to compile the folder index for quick search, then, click confirm and apply. The system will ask you if you want to apply the changes to all folders and files. If you really cannot accept the index service, you can apply the changes to all folders to solve the problem.

System Task Bar suspended

When you want to switch the window in the taskbar during another operation, you suddenly find that clicking the icon in the taskbar does not respond, just like the system crashes, this is a common failure to respond to the taskbar in Windows XP. It is also known as the "task bar suspended ".

It turns out this is caused by an error in the "advanced text service" function of Windows XP. Windows XP's "Advanced text service" includes speech, handwriting, and Chinese keyboard input services. Our commonly used input methods are also classified as advanced text services in Windows XP. However, some services, such as handwriting or voice functions, may conflict with some software. The most obvious reflection is that the taskbar has no response. For example, if we clear the document record and click "OK" or enable multiple IE to close quickly, the task bar is likely to be suspended.

In fact, there are not many people who use the voice and handwriting functions in the advanced text service. We can close them completely. Open "Control Panel", click "switch to classic view", double-click "region and language options", click the "language" tab in the dialog box, and then click "details, in the open "text service and input language" dialog box, click "language bar", select the "Close advanced text service" option, and save the settings (figure 2 ).

Because the Chinese input method is also part of the advanced text service, after the service is disabled, the result is that the input method switching bar disappears. We can only use the shortcut key "Ctrl + shift" to switch the input method.

False death of webpage content copied from Word documents

If you directly copy and paste the text on the webpage into a Word document, a period of time may be suspended. This is due to the large size of HTML format pasting. Solution: copy the text on the webpage to the clipboard, click "Edit> select Paste" on the menu bar of the Word program, and select "paste> unformatted text" in the displayed dialog box ", and confirm the operation (Figure 3 ). After this operation, there will be no similar false-dead issues.

If we use bitcomet for download, sometimes it will be suspended. Solution: click "Options> options" on the menu bar, select "task Settings" on the left in the pop-up window, and then select the "allocate space before download" check box in the right view, click "OK" (figure 4 ).
