Kmail Setting Process

IMAP access

Assume that your gmail account is a accountname@gmail.com and its password is gmailpassword. Add a gmail account in kmail:

1) Add gmail IMAP. Open Kmail and go to settings-configure kmail-accounts. On the 'accept' tab, click Add. Then select the type as 'imap' and then 'confirmed '. 'Login' enter your gmail email address, such as a accountname@gmail.com. 'Password' enter the gmail password. Enter imap.gmail.com on the 'receiving Server. 'Port': Enter 993. On the "Security" tab, select "use secure ssl connection to download emails" for the encryption method. The authentication method is plain text. Then 'OK '.

2) Add gmail stmp. Open kamil and go to settings-configure kmail-accounts. On the send tab, click Add. Select 'smtp 'as the transfer method '. Then confirm. Enter 'smtp .gmail.com 'for the host '. Port '123 '. Selected, 'server needs to Authentication '. Enter your gmail email address and password. Select 'tls 'as the encryption method '. Select 'login' for the authentication method '.

3) test. You can send an email to your gmail account to see if you can download the email.
