Effect 5, "Adjust the color"

> Brightness/Contrast

A settings window pops up when the effect is enabled. You can increase or decrease the brightness and contrast of the graphic color by dragging the slider in brightness or contrast. As shown in Figure 14.

> "Reverse"

The color of the drawing object is reversed when the effect is used. such as black to white, red to green and so on. As shown in Figure 15.

> "Curve"

When this effect is enabled, a "curve" setting window pops up. In this window, we can use the form of curves to make a comprehensive unified setting for the color, intensity and contrast of different color through the head. As shown in Figure 16.

> "Automatic Levels"

Color scale refers to the colors of various images in the color pattern of the shading of the primary colors. Therefore, the automatic level effect allows the system to automatically adjust the shading of the drawing object. As shown in Figure 17.

> "Hue/Saturation"

Use this effect to quickly and easily adjust the "hue", "saturation" and "brightness" of a drawing object, as shown in Figure 18.

In the hue/Saturation Effect Setting dialog box, the color mode of the object is changed when the Color check box is selected.

> "Color Scale"

In introducing the "automatic levels" we mentioned that the color level refers to the color of various images in the graphic colors of the shading. But in addition to the system for us to automatically adjust the color level of the image, more often we are based on the image of the specific situation, through the "color" effects to manually adjust the intensity of the Graphics object. As shown in Figure 19.

In the Settings dialog box for this special effect, you can select a color channel from the Drop-down list of channels;

You can adjust the brightness values of the highlight pixels, darkened pixels, and midtones pixels by entering the corresponding values in the three parameter edit boxes to the right of input levels. or by adjusting the window, the three small sliders below the graph set the brightness values of the three pixels;

Control the contrast of the output image in the two parameter edit box to the right of output levels, the first is the luminance value of the darkened pixel, and the second is the brightness value of the highlight pixel.

> "Color Fill"

Use this effect to select a blending mode for the drawing object and a color fill in various blending modes. You can also set the opacity of the image. As shown in Figure 20.

6, "sharpening"

> "Sharpen further"

The effect on the processing of graphics objects and "fuzzy", "further blur" effect is just the opposite, will make the color value of adjacent pixel points in the Graphics object more difference guide, so that the clarity of the image enhanced. As shown in Figure 21.

7, "Shadow and Halo"

> "Inside Glow"

When you add this special effect to a drawing object, a settings window pops up, and by setting the relevant values or options for that window, a graphical change in the inner circumference of the object is displayed with a luminous effect. As shown in Figure 23.

In the settings window for inside glow, you can control the size of the aperture effect within the object's circumference by setting the offset option.

> "Inside Shadow"

When you use this effect, a settings window pops up, setting the window's relevant values or options to create an angle shadow effect around the drawing object. Through the setting window of this special effect, it can control the range, angle and contrast of shadow of image better and so on. As shown in Figure 24.

> "Glow"

The effect and the "inside glow" effects are just the opposite of the principle. The glow effect produces an aperture on the periphery of a drawing object. Through the setting window of the special effect, it can control the luminous range, luminous color and contrast of the image better and so on. As shown in Figure 25.

In the Settings window for the glow effect, you can control the size of the aperture effect offset from the perimeter of the object by setting the offset option.

> "Projection"

The effect and the "inside shadow" effects are just the opposite of the principle. The "Drop shadow" effect is an angle to the outside of a drawing object. Through the setting window of this special effect, it can control the range, angle and contrast of shadow of image better and so on. As shown in Figure 26.

8, "Eye Candy 4000 LE"

> "Bevel Boss"

This special effect is an enhanced graphics object bevel texture of the filter ytterbium. When used, a larger settings window pops up, as shown in Figure 27.

The left side of the window is the settings bar for each of the top features, and the right side is the preview box for the drawing object.

In the basic (Basic) tab, you can adjust the width, scale, and smoothness of an image bevel by setting the three sliders for bevel width, beval Height Scale, and smoothmess. In the Bevel placenent column, you can set whether an object is an inner or outer bevel. In darken Deep areas, the depth of image shadow can be adjusted.

In the lighting (lighting) tab, you can set the angle, range and color of the light source of the image;

In the Bevel Profile tab, there are a number of ready-made bevel outline types to choose from.

> "Mardle"

This is a filter that converts a graphic object to a marble textured effect. As shown in Figure 28.

In the setting window of the filter, the size, coverage, turbidity and roughness of the image texture can be adjusted by the setting of the four sliders vein size, vein Coverage, vein thickness and vein roughness respectively.

In the two color selection boxes bedrock color and vein color, you can select a new background and texture color for the default black and white marble texture.

When you click the "Randon Seed" button, an effect is randomly selected in the 9,999 alternative marble texture fills.

> "Motion Trail"

This is a filter that makes the graphics object produce a meteor-tail-like motion, so this filter is called the "trajectory". Its settings window is shown in Figure 29.

In the slider setting of length, taper and overall opacity, the length of the trajectory, the cone angle of the trajectory and the transparency of the trajectory are adjusted.

9, "Alien Sikn splat LE"

> "Edges"

This is a filter to adjust the edge of the image. Its settings window is shown in Figure 30.

In this setting window, you can adjust the size of the image edge width, edge blank and edge-filled form in the slider setting of the edge widths, margin and reature size;

In the direction input box, you can control the orientation of the edge padding;

In the Drop-down list of edge mode, you can select the padding type of the edge;

In color, you can select the padding color of the edges;

When the transparent Fill check box is selected, the edge is filled with a transparent color, and the color item is not available at this time.
