When powered on, press F2 to enter the BIOS menu. The first is the Computer Information menu bar, including computer model, BIOS version, as well as CPU, memory, hard disk, optical drive and other major hardware information. The relevant information is as follows:

The following figure is a hardware configuration setting. Mainly include: time, date settings, wireless network card, hard disk interface mode, video card, power consumption beep, Intel Virtualization Technology settings. The relevant details are set out below (in the figure, AHCI is written as Achi and hereby corrected):

The following figure is the security setting, including the superuser password and normal user password settings, as well as startup settings and hard drive password settings. The relevant settings are shown below. In general, we just need to set the password for the superuser. You can also set the hard drive password if you have important information stored on your hard disk.

How do I remove a password? Go to the Set Password menu, reset the two password to empty (press ENTER directly), for example, press ENTER on set Supervisor Password, prompt to input old password, enter, return again.

Special reminder: Set the password must remember, three input errors must be restarted, and forgot the password, after the sale is also unable to repair, even if the use of CMOS power outages, can not let the BIOS lose the memory function. Therefore, the password must remember!

Friends who have purchased a notebook, if they feel that the surrounding environment is not very good, you can consider in the notebook BIOS set the password. Setting the password in the system doesn't work at all. However, be sure to remember the password!

Passwords in the BIOS are mostly divided into user Password and supervisor Password, both of which restrict access to the system, the only difference being that supervisor Password has the right to completely modify the BIOS settings, user Password is not.

In simple terms, if you are entering the BIOS as user Password, some items will become unavailable. As most of the laptops are used by their own more opportunities, so it is recommended to use Supervisor Password for notebook computer lock, both to protect the computer security, but also have all the permissions. Enter BIOS to set Supervisor Password.

The following figure is the startup item setting. The default setting for the system is USB KEY, which is why the computer cannot start when moving media such as a U disk. We commonly use only a few startup items, one is the hard drive, the second is the CD-ROM drive boot, the third is a U disk production start (USB CDROM), four is a U disk soft start (USB HDD). Other types are less in practical applications. So we need to adjust these startup items.

How to adjust: Move the cursor to the item you want to adjust, and press the "one" key after the number key to move the option down.

The following figure is a reset startup item, adjusted again today to adjust the third item to the back, adjusting the USB HDD to the front. In fact, we just need to start the hard drive to adjust to the first item on the line. When you install the system, you only need to power on the F12, you can start the first setting.

When all settings are complete, press F10, select Y, and then enter to confirm exit.
