LESS:CSS preprocessing language

Less is a CSS preprocessing language, it extends the CSS language, add variables, Mixin, functions and other features, make CSS easier to maintain and expand.

Less can run on Node or browser side.

Characteristics:

Advantages:

• Variables-it makes it easier for you to define and change values throughout the stylesheet (this feature CSS may also be implemented someday).

• Dynamic computed value- CSS A recent one cal() , but it is only suitable for the calculation of length.

• Mixins-Allows you to reuse or combine styles, and supports passing parameters.

• Function-it provides you with some handy programs to manipulate colors, convert images, and so on.

Cons: The only downside to using a preprocessor is that you need to convert the code to pure CSS code so that it works in a browser.
