A driver is a software that allows a computer to communicate with a hardware device. For hardware that has previously been connected to the computer, the Windows7 updated driver may be available at a later time, but will not be installed automatically. However, you can simply set the Windows7 to automatically download the recommended driver.
First, click "Start" → "Control Panel" → "View devices and printers." Then, right-click the computer name and click Device Setup settings (Figure 1).
Next, in the Device Installation Settings dialog box, click Yes, automatically perform this action (recommended), and then click the Save Changes button (Figure 2). If prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

To get all the important and recommended updates for your computer and devices, you need to make sure that Windows Update is enabled and set to install updates automatically (recommended). Fortunately, this is the WINDOWS7 Windows Update default enabled feature. But if you're not sure if it's open, you can go to control Panel → system and security →windows update→ change settings, and then under important updates, select Automatically install updates (recommended), and under Recommended updates, select the recommended updates in the same way that you receive critical updates. check box, and click the OK button.
With the above settings, Windows7 is able to automatically download and install the updated driver for the device, which is a good way to ensure that all hardware on your computer is working properly.
