Nat Mode:

Allow the virtual system to access the network through the IP address of the PC host with the NAT function.

For Example: the VMNET8 virtual network card IP on the PC host is "192.168.221.2 ",

The PC Host network card IP is "192.168.31.65", while the virtual system IP is "192.168.221.2" gateway "192.168.201.1", through VMnet8 nat into "192.168.31.65".

After access to the network: equivalent to the PC host card is (router) to use.

Bridging mode:

VMware's virtual operating system is like a separate physical host that can access any machine in the network.

For example: The gateway is: 192.168.31.1 your PC host IP is: 192.168.31.65.

In bridge mode you want to configure the virtual system IP address • Subnet • Gateway, then the virtual system IP is: 168.168.31.128,

The subnet code is: 225.225.225.0 Gateway 192.168.31.1. With this configuration the virtual system can access the network over the LAN, which is equivalent to the PC host's network card (switch) to use.
