1. Start the boot program/etc/lilo. conf or/etc/grub. conf.

2. Control the startup mode/etc/inittab

Text-based configuration has become the mainstream of LINUX. In fact, this is nothing new. Many software now need to do this type of configuration. However, it is generally described in the text configuration file, or the configuration instance is for reference.

Attached VI operation: Press ESC to enter the control status, press other keys to enter the edit status. In the control status, enter, ": Q! "To exit without saving;": W "to save;": Q "to exit.

This VI reminds me of the EPSON machine I used for N years. It only has BASIC and the keyboard is about 83, no cursor direction keys, keypad, HOME, END, etc. Therefore, to INSERT or DELETE characters, you must CTRL + a key. Well, it looks like a strange machine was used when LINUX was developed.
