1) Modify the Ifcfg-eth0 configuration file
Path:/etc/sysconfig/network-scriptS/ifcfg-eth0

Device=eth0
Onboot=yes//Set to Yes here
Bootproto=static//here for static
ipaddr=192.168.0.3//IP within the LAN
netmask=255.255.255.0
gateway=192.168.0.1

2) make the IP address effective:
/sbin/ifdown eth0
/sbin/ifup eth0

3) Configuring DNS Resolution
echo "NameServer 211.98.1.28" >>/etc/resolv.conf//8.8.8.8

4) Notification Gateway Update information:
/etc/init.d/network restart
