[Linux] Debian source update

Path of the file containing the Source:/etc/apt/sources. list

Finding a proper source on the internet is troublesome. You can use a tool to update it.

1. install apt-spy: sudo apt-get install apt-spy

2. Run apt-spy: apt-spy-d stable-a asia-t 5.

-D: Specifies the release version, such as stable, testing, and untable)

-A: Specifies the region of the source server, such as asia, Europe, and North-America. These region information is stored in the/etc/apt-spy.conf document, and if you want to test ALL servers, you can also replace the specific region with the ALL keyword.

-T: Specifies the threshold value for connection timeout. In seconds, a smaller threshold value can be set to ignore slow servers, effectively improving the test speed.

After the test is complete, apt-spy will generate a apt-get.list file under the/etc/apt/sources. list. d directory, and back up the original sources. list file. Copy the file to the/etc/apt directory and rename it sources. list.

After updating sources. list, run the following command on the terminal to make the new source effective:

Sudo apt-get update

Sudo apt-get upgrade
