Or to download rdesktop, install after download:

$ TAR-ZXVF rdesktop-1.5.0.tar.gz

$ CD rdesktop-1.5.0

$./configure

$ make

$ make Install


Terminal input Rdesktop//very detailed usage instructions


$ rdesktop-u username-p Password IP can log on remotely. Username is the current user of XP


Note: Before logging in confirm XP has been turned on to allow remote logins, on my Computer--properties--remotely set.


XP Current user must set password.


From brother Oceanboo that, Ubuntu under the tsclient can achieve remote logins.


$ tsclient
