Linux re-set MySQL password

First login to the server, find their own my.cnf files, usually in the/etc directory (if not, you can use the Find/-name my.cnf command to find), and then use the VI my.cnf command to edit the file (it is recommended to back up), under [mysqld] Add Skip-grant-tables,

The role is to login to skip login authentication, in other words, root what password can be logged in, and then: Wq save after exiting, with service mysqld restart restart MySQL.

Now you can log in to the root user no matter what the password.

Next, enter the following command in Linux:

# mysql-uroot-p

mysql> use MySQL;
mysql> Update user set Password=password (' 123 ') where user= ' root ';
mysql> flush Privileges;

Quit MySQL

Delete Skip-grant-tables

Restart MySQL, complete.
