The relevant configuration is as follows:
Yum Install Fonts-chinese.noarch
Yum Install M17N-DB-COMMON-CJK
Yum Install M17n-db-chinese
Install the above several language pack reboot is normal
Yum Grouplist
Yum Groupinstall Chinese-support
CentOS 5.0 Install Chinese Language Pack and input method
There are three ways to install a language pack. Two Yum way, one rpm way.
One: the Yum approach – full Chinese environment support.
The disadvantage of this approach is to download the installation package from FTP, the number of downloaded packages although you can choose, but still a small amount.
Log in as root and run the command:
Yum Groupinstall <language>-support
In the above command,,<language> is one of the following: Assamese, Bengali, Chinese, Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Malayalam, Marath I, Oriya, Punjabi, Sinhala, Tamil, Thai, or Telegu.
If you are prompted with the following error message
Another app is currently holding the Yum lock; Waiting for it to exit ...
The other application Is:yum-updatesd-he
Memory:15 M RSS (MB VSZ)
Started:sat Apr 13:34:25 2010-09:39 ago
State:sleeping, pid:3008
You can use the ps-u root and kill command to end a program that is consuming yum, and then execute the above command again.
Second: The Yum method, but the command is:
Yum Install Fonts-chinese fonts-iso8859-2-75dpi
The first package in this way seems to be a small one.
Its three: RPM way.
There are already various language packs on the installation disk and we just need to find them and install them. In Chinese is
fonts-chinese-3.02-9.6.el5.noarch.rpm
fonts-iso8859-2-75dpi-1.0-17.1.noarch.rpm
I use the 6CD mounting plate, the first one on the 4of6 disc, the second on the 6of6 plate,
Go to the respective file directory and run the following command:
#rpm-IVH fonts-chinese-3.02-9.6.el5.noarch.rpm
#rpm-IVH fonts-iso8859-2-75dpi-1.0-17.1.noarch.rpm
The Chinese Input Method is installed as follows:
RPM-IVH scim-1.4.4-41.el5.i386.rpm
RPM-IVH scim-pinyin-0.5.91-16.el5.i386.rpm
RPM-IVH scim-tables-0.5.6-7.i386.rpm
RPM-IVH scim-tables-additional-0.5.6-7.i386.rpm
RPM-IVH scim-tables-chinese-0.5.6-7.i386.rpm
Note: These are also on the installation disk and still need to be run as root. Specific versions may vary.
