Now I want to implement serial communication in linux. The program is written in C and transplanted to ARM. Now I am confused about the serial port reading and writing, I have seen that most programs can only read and write serial ports repeatedly in the while loop, which is a waste of resources. I don't have time to process the received data, and select () is used () timing query is also very troublesome. The key is that I don't know when external data will come in. Is there any other method of interruption? For example, there is data in the C51 into the RI auto-slot and the serial port interrupt program.
