Linux Star Word Blaster installation

Install StarDict star translation King. This is one of the most commonly used translation software in Linux, but it hasn't been updated for a long time. Ubuntu14.04 directly in the Ubuntu Software Center Search StarDict can be installed on the GUI.

Command-line installation: sudo apt-get install stardict

After installation, you need to add a local dictionary to use, and you can download the appropriate dictionary from this website: http://abloz.com/huzheng/stardict-dic/zh_CN/

After downloading, unzip the downloaded dictionary and place it in the/usr/share/stardict/dic directory, and then reopen the stardict to automatically load the corresponding local dictionary.

Note: You need to have Read permission to the/usr/share/stardict/dic directory, otherwise stardict cannot load the dictionary.

Unzip and place the dictionary into the/usr/share/stardict/dic command operation in this directory:

Tar jxf stardict-21shijishuangxiangcidian-2.4.2.tar.bz2-c/usr/share/stardict/dic

Graphical interface operation needs to pay attention to the following points: first extract the downloaded dictionary files, and then cut to the/usr/share/stardict/dic directory:

A: You need to open the Explorer using root: Terminal input: sudo nautilus command opens the folder with root permission and cuts the extracted dictionary to the/usr/share/stardict/dic directory.

B, Increase access rights to the/usr/share/stardict/dic directory. Click the "Change permissions to include Files" button.

After the installation is complete, the stardict looks like:

You can see the local dictionaries that have been installed, and adjust the relevant dictionary order according to your personal habits.
