Installing the Ntpdate Program
shell># yum–y Install Ntpdate |
Use Crontab to set the system to synchronize time with the NTP server 0:00 per day
shell># crontab–e
0 0 * * * ntpdate your_ntp_server_domain_name or YOUR_NTP_SERVER_IP_ADDR |
Save Exit,
For our steps to go on, we perform a synchronization
shell># ntpdate NTP.JN.IDC
If successful, you will be prompted with the following
shell># ntpdate NTP.JN.IDC Jul 15:34:31 ntpdate[8655]: Step time Server NTP.JN.IDC offset-29.884509 sec |
Synchronizing system time to hardware
shell># hwclock–w
Verify
shell># Date Sat Jul 09:00:47 CST 2015 |
If there is no problem with the output time, it indicates success
